Cascade Clamp - Established in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company started as a small machine shop employing only 4 people. Overall sales for that initial year amounted to about sixty thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless-steel pipe fittings, valves and different components. During 5 years of operation, the company had stretched to 40 staff and their yearly sales volume had increased to $330,000. Today, Cascade is amongst the top global producers in the material handling industry.

Design and manufacturing of the company's very first hydraulic cylinder allowed this young company to aggressively pursue new business opportunities. In the nineteen fifties, Cascade began designing, fabricating and advertising hydraulic attachments. Following fifteen years of business, total staff reached one hundred eighty employees and sales had reached almost 2.3 million dollars.

1959 in Springfield, Laredo a second production facility was built. The year 1960 marked Cascade's preliminary transfer into the international world of the material handling industry when the business established interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.

In the year 1964, the company changed its name to the Cascade Corporation. After that in 1965, the company went public with a preliminary offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. Ever since then the company has expanded its manufacturing facilities throughout the continental US to the locations Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already current plants in Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Laredo. Cascade products are manufactured globally due to many subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a brand new plant was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European headquarters. This plant is made to be the essential customer service centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in 1996 and the year 1997 after acquiring five firms, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the global leader in forks.
